Repository Services
NLAC has established the Rodent Model Resource Center (RMRC) in 2009 to preserve most of the novel genetically modified mouse lines generated domestically. RMRC acts as an international non-profit core center dedicate in the deposition, archiving, and distribution of genetically modified (GM) rodent resources. We have cryopreserved more than 2500 strains. Over 50% of Taiwan researcher's rodent strains are preserved at RMRC. We are the major institution to provide assisted reproductive technology (ART) and rederivation services, which help researchers secure and share their precious strains. RMRC has constructed a searchable online database of available GM rodent resource and participated in the International Mouse Strain Resource (IMSR) to further support strain sharing through global partnership.
