Strain Description
1. A targeting vector was generated in which exon 2 (FYVE domain located) of the Zfyve9 gene wereloxp-flanked. The construct was electroporated into 29S6/SvEvTac -derived TC1 embryonic stem (ES) cells.Blastocyst injection of ES cells carried targeted allele was used to obtain chimera. The chimeric males were crossed to C57BL/6 females.  The mice carried targeted allele were crossed with the mice carried protamine-cre transgene to delete exon 2 of Zfyve9 gene. The offspring was then backcrossed to C57BL/6 mice more than 10 generations.
2. Dysfunction of Zfyve9 genes promotes skin tumor formation and malignant progression.
