Strain Description
1. The linear designed construct composed of PGK promoter and MiR-29a precursor full-length sequence was transferred into fertilized eggs from FVB/N mice.
2.  The mice carried transgene reduced diabetes-mediated glomerular hypertrophy and periodic acid-Schiff stain, attenuated diabetes-induced  loss of nephrin and WTand decreased the expression of fibrogenic factors TGF-β1, fibronectin, and IL-1β in diabetic renal glomeruli.(J Am Soc Nephrol 2014,25:1698)
3.  This miR-29a transgenic mice had high bone mineral density, trabecular microarchitecture and cortical thickness. miR-29a overexpression mitigated the glucocorticoid-induced impediment of bone mass, skeletal microstructure integrity and mineralization reaction and attenuated fatty marrow histopathology. (Bone 2015,81:80-88)
4.  It was observed that more than 95% of mice carried this transgene are male.
